Keratosis pilaris, what can i use to reduce it?

are there any vaseline products that i can use or something similar, is there anything that can help? i hate the skin on my arms and legs and always have due to these patches of keratosis pilaris, i know there is no cure for it but anything that will reduce it that i can buy i the uk would really help me. thanks

Gentle exfoliants can help, as can keeping your skin well moisturized. Try to never scrub your skin (this can aggravate the condition) and talk to your pharmacist to see if they can recommend a lotion with lactic acid.
Reply:The only old-fashioned treatment I know is to rub in a mixture of salicylic acid and soft paraffin, plus scrubbing with a loofah.


Have you asked the pharmacist at your local chemist because there may well be something produced by one of the large pharmaceutical firms these days.
